I've got the lot when it comes to keeping hands warm as I suffer too. You really can't beat the hand warmers (you've got to shake them for quite a few minutes), in fact they're so warm that I have to put them between my silk liners and the gloves otherwise they burn the skin. Also, I wear mittens rather than gloves so you can clench your fists around the warmers :D

Alpe d'huez has loads of green runs all served by button lifts but they weren't free when we were there two seasons ago.
Tignes le lac has a green and a blue that are free, not sure about val claret. |

Next year I'm planning an august holiday of a different sort.
My mind keeps changing, I've gone from summer skiing (4 people at £2,600 apiece in chile is a little steep I think!), to sailing to diving. At the moment I'm thinking of a mountain holiday. It would be amazing to get a little skiing in so I'm looking at glaciers, ideally with a lake for sailing, etc and a good range of activities for us and the boys [12 and 8]. Kaprun seems to tick every box, whistler sounds extremely appealing but I wondered if anyone had any others ideas, thoughts or suggestions? thanks :D Caron |
