Why do people feel the need to drop litter and cigarette ends? Is it really so difficult to walk/ski to the nearest bin?
Nelly, I agree with you wholeheartedly - hanging is the way forward ) |

I think for that sum we could afford more than one. It might even stretch to lunch in the Three Valleys

I'd love to be able to come along but having looked into the cost of getting there I'm not sure it would be worth while. I'd be looking at ~£250 at least just for transport (I can get us to the Alps for that  !!), plus a hotel if we stopped over, which seems a lot for a day out.
Unless anyone has a cunning plan to get two people from the North East to London and back at a sensible price (driving is 5 hours each way so would need a stop over) I think we'll have to give it a miss this year (unless I can convince my OH that a short break in London would be a good idea to make the cost of transport seem a bit more in proportion – hmmm, might have to try that one.) :D |

Great photos Brimster and glad you had such a good time. :D Is this it now for your trip or are you still travelling?

I'm not a beginner (sorry if I gave that impression!) I'm happy on just about anything red and the occasional black and thinking that January is way too long a time to wait for a 'snow' fix!! :(

My local slope is dendex and I've only used it once (my first time on skis) but this does sound a bit better. I think a trip may be in order, particularly as my 'grandmother in law' lives close by so we could combine it with a visit.
It was mentioned about the racing community hating it (poles, speed and holding an edge as you all say), but I got the impression that wasn't really their target market. |

It wouldn't begin with an N by any chance, would it?
