I still want to know who it was that slipped into a rain dance by mistake a couple of weeks ago?
Keep the snow dance going, the clouds are gathering. |

Getting home from one ski trip with only 5 days to the next one, suddenly realised that my passport was in the pocket of the trousers I'd just put in the wash. A feeling of dread came over me!
Luckily those lovely passport office people in Peterborough sorted it all out without any fuss. 14.5 hour delay coming back from Tignes last year wasn't pleasant. A 9am Chambery flight became a 11.30pm Grenoble one. It was only because the pilot coming to collect us from the gate that we got away at all! Stepping out of a ski on the North Face of the Valuga wasn't the best of moves. It ended up 200m below us and I had to get down a silly steep pitch on one ski. ![]() |

I usually start the day with a bit of a hangover, but find the mountain air soon sorts that out. Just takes the effort to get out. I don't know about anyone else, but I'm able to drink a lot more in the mountains than I can at home.
I don't over do it, I'm not a big drinker and tend to fall over or worse if I do. But unlimited wine in the evenings following on from a few apres ski beers plus a slip from numerous hip flasks means my daily intake is on the unhealthy side, if you go by number of units recommended. I know when I've had too much as I ski like a weeble the next day. |
