I am so sorry to hear your bad news, I know you were looking forward to it. If it was me I think I would still go on holiday. Just being in the snow is enough for me. It might give your wife more confidence to if she sees people on the slopes.
I broke my ribs about three years ago just before my holiday, we still went, I did'nt ski but still had a fab time.

I have to say thats whats known as an eclectic mix to say the least!

Can I strongly suggest that if anyone finds themselves looking at stunning views like that and they want to listen to something to feel the moment, that they listen to the acoustic version of Intervention by Arcade Fire. Not many songs can reduce me to tears.
