Artificial snow, love it or hate it?

I was in the Dolomites last year , which was a particularly bad year, and the pistes were great...the surface was just like "real" snow.., a white ribbon threading through a green/brown world...Artificial snow can be good if its done properly
jealousy will get me nowhere

I agree with your comment re Italian loos ...they all seem to be really modern and free and there seems to be plenty of them ..especially in the dolomites where i have been for the last two seasons...now France was a different story ..there are still some squatters around.. I dont know when Gareth went to Italy but the lifts seem very modern to me this year lots of new bubbles

I quite liked Kaprun ..nice easier runs over the glacier and the bus will take you to Zell which has nice runs ..just got back from Campitello in the Dolomites which has varied skiing ...try Obertuern varied red and blues and a nice resort
