So would I, however I've been there when the skiing has been very limited in Val and the links have still been closed. We had to get a taxi to Tignes every day to access great skiing. |

To say my summer fitness plan isn't going well would not be correct. As that would imply that I had a summer fitness plan, which would be a lie.

I've skied Val D'Isere and Tignes several times in mid December, during those trips too much snow has been more of a problem than too little.
The only trip we had problems was when the Pisteures went on strike! The earliest I've skied there is 6 Dec. There is always a lot more open up in Tignes so I'd suggest it's the better resort to stay in if you want to avoid a taxi fare if the links aren't open. If you can get a good enough deal I'd say go for it. There's a good chance I'll be in Tignes that week. :D This is Tignes 15 Dec 2008: ![]() |

All booked, we're offering St Anton (16-2 Jan) for £610 per person including flights, catered chalet, lift pass, local tax and ski carriage.
Also Val Thorens (26 Feb 5 Mar) for £650 per person, same things included. Almost full. :D |

First day tends to be an easy day on the slopes, just getting the ski legs going. Of course because it's transfer day the slopes are empty. Tired yes, too tired for a great day on the mountain? No.
Looks like we might not be able to go by train at the end of Feb as engineering work mean that they are not running on some dates. |

I've done the Eurostar direct night train a couple of times, because it gives you 2 extra days skiing.

Hi all,
Long time no speak, how is everyone? Been too busy planning this winters holidays. Who's already booked their trips then? I'm off to Tignes in December (12th-19th) and to Val Thorens at the end of Feb (26th Feb - 5th Mar) Can't wait, though I've got some serious fitness training to do before then! 20 Weeks and counting! Also running a trip to St Anton in Jan but not going on that one. |
