stayed in the annapurna chalets next door last easter. they were fab! unfortunately I didn't get offered the group leader's holiday  we're in les arielles du montana I and II this season, not as plush but amazing location. talking of which - I noticed an intersport on the roundabout on the resort map http://www.tignes.net/GB_pma_dynaplan.html which I don't remember being there last year. seems too good to be true. let me know would you??? |

in your position I'd be having a good look at:
saas fee val thorens (though you've been there) tignes val d'isere alpe d'huez les arcs la plagne avoriaz les deux alpes obergurgl (though expensive) to start with but that's just me. (sorry, most are in france) good luck  |

In hertfordshire last year our easter holidays started on good friday. However, I'm a stone's throw from essex and they had the bank holiday weekend, went back to school on the tuesday and then had their two week holiday a couple of weeks later. It depends on the LEA.
Personally, I'd love to see different parts of the country have different holidays [until my children are out of school that is ] |

I haven't stayed in le lavachet but the lifts, pistes and buses link the whole area really well so you never have to walk too far
From the resort map http://www.tignes.net/GB_pma_dynaplan.html this looks like the only ski hire shop in lavachet http://www.mickbob.sport2000.fr/ enjoy  |

I remember reading that it's one of the ugliest resorts in france but I don't really think that matters too much 8)
