Boot Flex Adjustment
Started by User in Ski Hardware, 8 Replies
Hi All

I have a pair of Fischer progressor 100 boots which are around 4 years old. Had them custom fitted, proper footbeds etc

I love them and they are very comfortable

However my instructor last year said they were too stiff and I wasn't flexing them enough. He seemed to think the flex should be adjustable but didn't know this model

They do have a pair of Allenkey-type adjusters on the back - seem to be labelled "forward lean adjust" and "adjustable spoiler"

Any clues on what I need to do here?

I could take them back to the shop as they are covered for life but it's a long trek if its just a quick fiddle with a screw - equally though I don't want to break anything

Cheers
25th January Val Thorens for me please

Thanks Ally

3 Valleys is a great fit for your skill-set - there's some great steeps, some scary off piste and a few well documented on piste "circuits" that will satisfy your fast cruising cravings with full days of skiing all points of the area

Restaurants are also well served in all the resorts with Courchevel in particular having once been (and may still be) renowned for having more Michelin starred restaurants than anywhere else in France bar Paris

Meribel is probably a better base as its more central but there are peeps on here who can tell you more about it than me

I've never seen it fenced off - but have never seen anyone on it either

Like Admin I think its used for ice diving (not the reservoir OA in my recollection)

All in one ski suit, is it acceptable?

but you have the style and panache that only comes with experience which allows you to carry it off with aplomb

or something

I'm going no too

yes a fall in deep powder would have less chance of getting you snowed in in places that remain unmentionable on a family forum

BUT

all benefits are outweighed by tha fact its a romper and would be shouted as so by me and my group wherever we spotted you (have screamed ROMPER) from many a chairlift at unsuspecting European passing by on piste below
here's the VT one which they stop updating at 17:00 for exactly that reason

Shows the Shaun White crash - thankfully he gets straight up BUT if that impact was enough to send his helmet shooting yards away from him then what would it have done to his head had the helmet not been there!?
