Hoolio, you'll like Brevent and La Flegere then.
As long as you know you'll have to get a bus or drive you'll also like La Tour and Vallorcine.
Word on the street is bad weather has been a problem this week and lots of lifts have been closed meaning people going to Les Houches.
This, of course, is a hazard on any skiing holiday and can change from day to day so nothing to worry about.
Enjoy.

Thanks Salski,
It was confusing. How did you get back from the bottom of the Kandahar if your pass didn't cover the lift back up?
Loved Les Houches, also went to La Tour, Argentiere, Brevent and La Flegere.
Area a bit fragmented for me, but I know many don't agree.

Correct me if I am wrong but St Gervais is not part of Chamonix ski area is it?

Edited to add....I was a bit confused wnen we went last year because the St Gervais railway went to Les Houches, but nowhere was anything mentioned about skiing in St Gervais, which I rather like the soind of.
Has the 'number of times a thread viewed' disappeared?
I can't see it.
Ski fairs in South Wales

I went to one once, held in a hotel near Gloucster.
Mostly full of very cheap brands, such as Big Air and you could all the people on the slopes wearing the stuff.
We didn't buy anything and left in a hurry when my son, then about 7, decided to look at some skis, knocked one pair and set the whole lot falling like dominos.
You can imagine the noise. Just as they all settled in a heap the poles all started to fall it was excrutating.
Anyway, sorry, not heard of any of these fairs for ages.

Those dates are fairly normal for Easter holidays and i'm a supporter of April skiing, but even I would avoid that area in April.
Why don't you get the head to see if people are prepared to pay 25 quid extra for Serre Che?

If your school holidays are atthe beginning of April, as so many are, regardless of whenEaster is then you'll be going around 4th April. Just looked college hols for county where we live and they don't follow the six term pattern so don't break up til 11th which is a bit late.
