No idea, I have just blindly recommended them. Jon sold me a pair of skis and they came with a pretty handy tune ;)

Search around TGR, I seem to remember a particularly good home made effort cropping up a while ago.

Train? Even if it takes a while trains in Europe are pretty good ;)
Finn wrote:Tony it's as simple as this, I remember being reluctant to move over to carvers but in the end I did & found the whole experience of skiing a lot more fun. I too was reluctant about wearing a helmet but in the end found the whole skiing experience to be heightened from the feeling of security you get when you wear one. The only time the helmet thing really bothers me is on warm skiing days, small price to pay really. Be safe & keep the elements, wear a helmet. That's my view but at the end of the day it's personal choice.
Thanks for the warm welcome.

Mark may have been more suitable :-D

It might be down to the helmet as well, is yours well ventilated? I find mine fine anywhere below zero but as soon as it starts to warm up it is a little uncomfortable (these are the situations where I would maybe be less likely to wear one). Also wouldn't wear one teaching beginners.
