Buy a well known make, GIro, Red etc. See if you can get a discount online. Get one that fits.
Try em on in Ellis Brigham/Snow and Rock to check for a size then order online. If you already have goggles make srure the model you have is compatible |

Short of a real Crystal Ball I am not sure even Mystic Meg could tell you what the snow will be like.

Ise, agreed.
Can help to have some mirrory ones on a sunny day and some yellowy ones on a dark day. Got 2 pairs and just make a best guess in the morning. Can cope with the darkies when there's no sun with your method but the others when it's sunny is not do able |

You should check out a pair of sunglasses with Polarized lenses against a pair of standard efforts (pref not Oakleys-their polarization is sh*t) and if you don't notice a substantial difference then you have to worry

Make the lessons you get your son the ones he starts with to give him a good base to start with. Bad habits earned when learning will be carried through his skiing otherwise.
From self assessment things I am not so great at when skiing at full speed are evident when I take it right back to a wedge turn. |
