My thoughts are that we would continue to go to the alps, and while my frau is skiing, I would just spend all day painting ~ instead of managing with some time at the end of the ski day, making it difficult to finish a painting.
Apart from that, I would spend the time just meeting and talking with locals at whichever village we would be in.

Here's some art you can do on the snow Dave

Wow,that is amazing! I definitely would not use my energy bypassing the slopes! In my more vain moments, I get to think that my pictures will still be on skiers walls in 100 years. That lads art could be gone by a week on Tuesday!

When I've finished with it that is.

Fertig actually means ready. I know that from my o level classes many moons ago. But like you I find some words amusing, and that does indeed sound like a small squeaky trump.

Fertig is the deutsch for "Finished", also has other meanings. I had fertigged the lads' form. I suspect it was not what they were looking for....

Dave why are you passing wind on here :)

???

Brooksy, I am a bit surpised at that comment, I figure you to be a bit smarter than some of the stick wavers.....

I filled the lads query as requested, ab deutsch. That, by the way, would have done no favours to Mr Hanson!

Dave my comment was relating to the word FERTIG as to me it sounds like the common word for passing wind, apologies for causing you to believe the post to be more sinister

Nope, Brooksy, my apologies to you. I thought you might have joined the chav lot. My mistake!
Up at 7am....i'm on a mission.

When the maths seem to be "Down from £500 to £150", is the truth ~ "Down from £50 to £150"?

I can't comprehend how cold it would be at say 3,250m in Norway.....

I guess my point is it looks a lot more like Scotland than the Alps 8)

It did look good, Ian, but I cannot agree with your view.
