I stupidly (but you will understand) continued to ski all week despite a very sore corn on my little toe getting worse as the week went on. Used a corn plaster when I got home...it continued to get worse. Eventually phoned a chiropodist last Tuesday (snow day and no school day) and they were very concerned. The corn had developed into an ulcer! Now I have to have a strange bag on my foot and have to keep it dry (bath only with leg hanging over the side). No pressure allowed therefore no closed in shoes and a new dressing everyday. Have been wearing pink fluffy slipper socks to work!!!

how on earth does that occur? hope you're not in too much pain :-(

what is it with toes in your household

any advice :?:

I cant get it right either, but my resident chef can, mind you he does come from Yorkshire. He says the secret is make it 4 hours in advance and keep whisking it. For 6 yorkshire puds, 6 heaped spoonfuls plain flour, 2 eggs, pinch salt, eggcup of water, then top up with milk to correct consistency et voila perfect puds.

so is it not good for the flour to sink to the bottom? that's always confused me

am I on the right forum?

My mum gave me this advice...use two eggs!

and less milk or the same?
I've got an agreement with my boys - perfect skiing and then they can learn to board.

they're paralleling down blacks now, they've got a week of lessons in tignes at easter, one more holiday without lessons (which they hate) and then they can learn to board.

they won't like being a beginner again. all part of the plan
