I have no idea what you were driving but it must have been rocket-powered to have got there from Granada in 20 minutes!

Conducted a recce while on the Costa Tropical last month. Drove up from Granada and with very little traffic and in immaculate weather it took 40 minutes. Still not bad, but definitely not 20 mins! Liked the look of it to be honest and reasonably easy to picture it in snow despite lovely late summer sun and temperatures!

Going to Vorderglemm next year; anyone stayed there, good places to eat and drink, tips etc?

Thank you.
Very organised this time around - Saalbach (or Hinterglemm) on March 5. More trips to come!

I was surprised to realise that my visit to Cardrona, (not Cardona), was some 21 years back. Don't seasons fly????

I had great snow in Perisher, Thredbo and Mount Blue Cow but, similarly, I just realised how long ago it was - 1989!
The first Daily Mail ski show I went to was at the Royal Horticultural Hall off Victoria Street..that's proper nostalgia!
skiing near Zurich

Flumserberg and Hoch Ybrig are closer to Zurich although neither is as extensive as Engelberg, one of my favourites. But both are very enjoyable for a day or two and very easy to get to.

PS - why is this in Italy and not Switzerland? -)

Tried it again - says I've selected more than one answer when ranking information sources for a ski trip that are most important. I didn't.

Can't be bothered now!!! :(

Tried to do it, but it wouldn't accept my answers!
