It has been a while since I skied it with a friend who lives in Toronto.
Although it was in March it was very cold on the mountain. All runs are approximately the same length 1200 - 1300 m, parallel to each other and located on one side of the long, but not high mountain. Limited skiing area and rather plain scenery. Simply does not compare with Alps but if you are very keen to ski you can have some fun there. We had! There are some decent bars/restaurants and lodgings in the resort. |

0 sleeps!
Off to Gatwick in 30 minutes. And then cafe latte and all the usual nonsense ;) |

We stayed in Cervinia with Inghams last season and went for an organised day skiing to Pila. I asked about bus connections and was told that it is possible to get there and back but one bus change is required at the bottom of Aosta Valley and it would take a long time. Car hire woulkd probably be the better option.

Another snow-sure area in March is relatively cheap Cervinia (Italy) linked with Zermatt (Switzerland)with 3 glaciers to ski on.
The season in Cervinia ends in May for maintenance and reopens in July on glacier for Summer skiing! |

Quick newsflash from Lech - Cafe Schneider no longer exists it seems! Thank you for the update, Jastem  never mind  I've heard there is a good hot chocolate at the top of the cable car? How is the skiing? Kind regards, |

Thank you :!: Have you skied down Red Route No:48 on the chairlift side of the mountain? Regards, |

If you like off-piste skiing and lively apres ski then Verbier is hard to beat!
Zermatt offers beautiful views and plenty of long scenic pistes, ideal for intermediates. Both are not ideal for beginners. |
