pavelski,
I know dude ,I only posted because it was 10 times the amount I paid for a block of wax .
Kurt did say it's only a top coat wax and comes in powder form .His daughter is in training for the Biathlon and if you miss the target you get a 60 second penalty so I guess every second counts .
He also buys base wax in bulk and spends 20 hours a week waxing her ski's from November till May.
Didn't want to bore you with the details before, I only posted because it was wax related and at a totally different scale of wax to what I use and thought it was interesting.
But thanks for the information on how and why I should be using wax.

Talking of wax ,my friends just paid £120 for 20 grams of wax for his daughters ski's . Only posting because I was shocked at the price .
He did say that it would knock a minute off 5 miles though

Hi folks
I enjoy a little geocaching here in the UK but i've never looked for one whilst on a skiing holiday ,always forget and only remember when on the flight home.
Has any one else found a cache whilst on their winter holiday :)

My Norwegian friend told me to wax my board as soon as I was back home and to leave the wax on until I needed it again. He also said I should wax every day to get the best out of the board, but that's never going to happen whilst on holiday. So once home I waxed my board ,but then 5 months later he sent me a swix waxing iron and a few brushes for my birthday so I had to try my new present and do it again 8) woohoo any excuse to pull it out the cupboard and play with it is ok by me .

Does anyone else leave the wax on whilst not being used?

Just keep an eye on the time in Courchevel as you don't want to be late for the lifts home .
We might of been going slow,it didn't feel like it at the time, but we went from la tania to Courchevel,Meribel Mottaret,VT and back with only 15 mins left for our last chair lift home .
I don't think I've ever done that much in one day before and couldn't wait to sit down with a beer at the ski lodge.
It was also the best day I've ever had on the snow :D
