Cheers for the suggestions , the roof bars will carry 75 kg and our bags normally weigh around 16 kilos each .
I will sell the snowboard one day but whilst i can still take the knocks and falls i'll stick with the single plank :-) |

Hi all
4 of us travelling to Gatwick(210 miles) soon and i need to load 4 luggage bags and 3 double snowboard bags into the car . 4 luggage bags will go in the boot but the snowboard bags won't fit in the car,i have roof bars but not a roof box and i don't know if they make a roof box that i could get 3 bags in or cheaper enough for me to consider buying .I've thought about bagging the bags up to make waterproof then bungee cord/strapping them to the roof bars but not sure if its the best way to do it . :-) What have you done or how would you do it ? |

I have one of these http://www.prlog.org/11137393-ski-snowboard-face-mask-neck-warm-review-for-bike-motorcycle-fishing-hiking.html and it's great for the really cold days but one night in Sweden we stayed up the mountain for some night ski-ing and it was -25 with a wind chill of -30 and my nose got that cold it was numb for the next few days .
I would still not wear a nose bag :-) |

Try it , i know i'll try skiing one day .
No advantages ,disadvantages are putting your foot back in the binding after you get off the lift and all you skiing friends will get bored waiting for you after a short while . |
