Saw 'character building' in action at the Banana Bar a few years ago. We were there eating lunch, outside was this English lad who had just started working there. His first job was to clear all the snow from the terraced bit in front there. There was a foot or so of snow so it took him a while. Finally he finished and came in for drink. The owner turned to him and said 'great job, have some lunch now.' No sooner had he said that when there was a sliding noise as all the snow slid off the roof. The owner just said 'sorry it will have to be cleared too...' The expression on the boy's face said it all! |

The snow is not far away, should have enough by next weekend to have the resort runs open. And plenty higher up.
I'm still confident. |

The restaurant nearest the Altiport is worth a quick stop just to view the prices on the menu.
Last time I was there the cheapest item was a plain omelette for 28 euros. The wine list started at 49 euros a bottle. |

Unsuitable conditions? What are they talking about...
They may have a point. |

WHAT?! No snow is one thing, but no Bananas? Disaster!

A Snow Plough stop is still better than a Parallel crash!

Agree 100%, fantastic restaurant. We always head there at least once during a week in 3V. At the other end of 3V in Courchevel 1850, Ku De Ta is very reasonable and excellent quality. Courchevel can be expensive, there are restaurants that cater for the super rich, but equally there are restaurants that cater for Jo Average too. |
