Thats cool Ross. Will have my girlfriend to keep me entertained on wintry evenings.
Thinking of doing a CSIA course while I'm there too. |

I realised years ago, and have saved a few bob in the process, that buying branded clothing was pretty stupid.I have had my share of North Face, Berghaus, Helly Hansen, but my jacket of choice at the moment is .......... D2B!!!
For a fraction of the price and A1 functionality, this has seen me through around 15 weeks skiing in all conditions without any complaint from me. I think they call their Goretex Isotex 8000. Well, works for me!!! |

Have a look at Inghams. Last year we did a 2 centre to Banff and Jasper in March - around £700. This year its Banff and Panorama - around £700!
Ok, we have to eat out, but for 2 weeks in ski utopia, dont think its too bad. And I would challenge anybody to DIY for anywhere near that price. Anyone been to Panorama? |

Cant vouch for the place, but the ski-ing at San Sicario is brilliant!! It lies between Sauze D'oulx and Sestriere, both of which you can access from SS.
I was based in Sauze but did a lot of ski-ing in SS. The runs are wide and have a variety of pitches. You will have a great time. |

Not everyone is as knowledgeable as you ise! Was the black run this morning totally risk free?

I'm surprised you responded at all as my posts usually close off a thread!!
I'm all for safety, tranceivers, and slope awareness but this case suggests no culpability, simply bad luck. I will also say no more on the topic, and my thoughts are with the bereaved parents. |
