Seriously though, it might be worth your while, I have been in a similar situation (Dr.-->Consultant-->Physio).
Not sure on the specifics but I reckon having seen a Dr. with a specific knee complaint and being referred for further treatment could have an impact on your insurance companies willingness to cover you should something happen.
