After seeing all the snow, I might just renew my dry slope membership :D

Just back from Gran Canaria - not a flake of snow in sight.
It's only a slope.

Went skiing today!
Plymouth dry ski slope to try out my new boots. Can't say I had the best time. Having only ever snow skied before, I struggled to get a decent turn in. We managed an hour before knocking it on the head. Mind you,the views out over the A38 dual carriageway were spectacular.
Can't wait for Switzerland in January.

I'm going to a dry ski slope today. I'am very confident on snow (been doing it since I was 11) but I'm quite nervous because I've not been on a dry slope since I was 10 - 35 years ago!
Is it really difficult compared to snow...will i be able to stop? :?

Because it is so slow on a dry slope be prepared to point them down hill to gain a bit more speed.

Did my dry slope stint tonight. Was nervous at first but soon got into the swing of it thanks to your advice Ian.

You will definitely be able to stop.
The real question is....how?
A bit like people who say "they don't like flying", when what they really mean is "they don't like crashing!" :-)
