That's a good point about the GPS reading Ally, so it would under-read by a value, depending on the gradient. Say 12% to 30%.

I'm sure this would be cool but going fast in a straight line for a day down blues/reds would take the crown, not always the best way to enjoy the hill 8)

Edit: I have an immediate weight disadvantage on that one :(

I agree with you Pablo, but that is a view of experienced skiers. A less experienced skier would find the blues just as much a challenge.

My days skiing will include a mix of runs, all to love, all to enjoy. No blues, but I never really get hung up on run colours, since they are so poorly defined, and as you do more skiing, it matters less.

The speed you do them at is governed by many factors. Also, in general, I do not feel that varying speeds inhibits my appreciation of the mountain surroundings. When you get better at any sport, you always seem to have more time. Remember Jackie Stewart saying that when driving at 180 mph, he could recognise individual people in the crowd.

That is different from doing a day long eyeballs out day. I last did that in 2001. Something over 100 km. I will never manage that again.

Very kind of you Finn, there might have to be an age group category, to let me in! There are 12 year old girls in Niederau that are quicker than me!

As I recall, you didn't exactly hang about yourself! Lovely style too. Very similar to Rusty Inn.

RustyInn is a J2ski regular, with a great attitude to skiing. A bit like tino, in that he seems to squeeze heaps of skiing into every season.
