La Rosière

Hey everyone. Got back from my ski trip just over a week ago and haven't really had chance to jump on here.

We really enjoyed our Chalet experience and me personally would stay in one all the time, as long as I can persuade my fiancé as she prefers the hotels.

La Rosiere I really enjoyed and we managed to go over to Italy a couple of times. The conditions were not to great over that side and so we didn't really spend much time there. We also accidently took our first ever black slope right down to the bottom into La Thuile, something we did not enjoy and I had the Mrs moaning at the all the way because I had suggested which way to go.
After that we always made sure we had a piste map with us 8) .

If anyone is going to La Rosiere and you like burgers you need to check out the snack bar outside the St Bernard hotel right at the bottom of the slope. They sell the best burgers I have ever tasted! I would book up there again just to get myself another of there burgers.

Slopes seemed nearly empty.

Yeah it was pretty quite all week. I suppose that's an advantage of going straight after Christmas.

It was quite funny on the last day. We went for breakfast and quite a few people from our chalet said they would wait until the fog was clear. But not wanting to waste the last day we were out. Not realising what it would actually be like. We soon realised why the others had stayed in :lol:

I particularly liked the bit where you're both sliding down the narrow black run on your bums (after you'd accidentally got onto it), and where you try ski-ing in the fog (which reminded me of Folgarida last year).
