Hochficht - Ski Resort in Austrian Alps (642m to 1300m)

The Hochficht ski area lies in the heart of the Böhmerwald area. It’s the largest Austrian alpine ski area to the north of the north the Danube.

Although there is no funpark, the ski area is well suited for snowboarding with a quarter pipe and 100m half pipe built when snow cover is adequate. With 70% snowmaking cover, that's often the case.

The Austrian ski resort of Hochficht has direct access to 8 individual pistes, served by 7 ski lifts.

The skiing is at relatively low altitude, so snow cover can be variable.

Snowmaking :- Hochficht is able to augment natural snow, on 12km of ski runs, with 10 Snow Cannons.

Ski Lift Capacity :- The 7 Ski Lifts of Hochficht are able to uplift 8,700 skiers / snowboarders per hour.

There is an airport within two hours drive, so ski weekends, snowboard breaks and short ski holidays to Hochficht are perfectly feasible.
