Goldegg - Ski Resort in Salzburger Sportwelt, Austrian Alps - 10km of Piste (880m to 1330m)

A small village close to the Gastein ski region and with substantial cross-country skiing nearby. The romantic little resort is situated on a sunny plateau over Salzach-Valley, about 40 minutes south of Salzburg.

As well as its own small ski area the resort is part of the giant Ski amade lift pass association. The local Goldegg ski lifts offer a real family ski area, ideal for beginners and pleasure skiers, looking for relaxation away from the tumult of busier resorts. Ten kilometres of pistes, three drag lifts and a practice lift are maybe not very impressive in comparison with the big ski areas“, yet ensure an idylllic and friendly atmosphere. A cosy stop in the Kathialm is a must.

Goldegg

The Austrian ski resort of Goldegg is part of the Salzburger Sportwelt ski area with access to 144 individual pistes. In addition to the skiing in Goldegg itself (10km of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Salzburger Sportwelt ski resorts of Altenmarkt-Zauchensee, Filzmoos, Flachau, Kleinarl, Radstadt, St. Johann-Alpendorf and Wagrain.

The skiing is at relatively low altitude, so snow cover can be variable.

Ski Lift Capacity :- The 4 Ski Lifts of Goldegg are able to uplift 4,400 skiers / snowboarders per hour.

There are four Airports within two hours drive, so ski weekends, snowboard breaks and short ski holidays to Goldegg are perfectly feasible. Salzburg Airport is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.
