Does anyone know if it is better to buy lift passes and ski hire in advance online or wait until you get ther?

First time in Soldeu, so need a little advice.
Nearly, almost, but not quite!

I was in Soldeu last new year and have to say that its fab!!

Am not sure whether you can get the lift passes in advance or not. Even if you can then it won't cost you any difference than if you get them when you arrive (subject to the exchange rate). have a look on here for info on lift passes and also to get your webcam fix: http://www.grandvalira.com/gv/home.aspx?lang=4§ion=&page=

As for ski hire potentially it is cheaper online as you can get discounts etc.... I got my ski hire stuff from Pic Negre http://www.picnegre.com/shop/

This shop is directly opposite the Hotel Bruxelles!!

Do we also need to hire a ski locker or can we take them back to our apartment?

Queen of the Snowplough:

The only place you will be able to get the ski passes early from is the grandvalira website. Once you are in Soldeu then you will get the at the gondola station in the center of the town if you decide to wait ttill you get there then my word of advice is to get to the gondola station early as the queues are manic on the first day after change over with everyone desperate to get to the top to get into ski school as its a first come first served as to morning or afternoon lessons.

As for a ski locker they have them at the gondola station but I'm not sure how much they charge. My mate and i kept them in our hotels locker as it wasn't too far to walk with them.
