Hello all,
When is the ski season in Japan and what is the best resort for intermediate to advanced skiers ? We like our apres ski, good hotels and a bit of luxury. Cheers |
I am saying sorry as this has nothing to do with skiing ( apart from the beer angle ) but the link below is for the new Heineken advert.
It is in Dutch but you will get the idea. Turn the sound on ( but not too loud if you are in the office ) Again sorry. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=S1ZZreXEqSY |
A little of topic but whenever I travel I always take passport photos with me plus a photocopy of my passport, just in case my passport gets stolen/lost in a drunken stupor.

Very jealous.
We stayed in the Aspens which is on the road that links both mountains. Excellent condo, good location and very comfortable. In saying that Whistler has excellent buses that run very regulary so anywhere you stay is good but I would stay in the upper area of Whistler. It really depends on your budget as Whistler is getting very expensive. First time we went in 2001, flights, transfers and condo for two weeks cost us £800. In 2006 it cost us £1400. Same time of the year and same level of condo. |
When we go to Europe we tend to use package tours. When we go to North America we DIY as the tour companies think that a 4 person room is one bedroom and a sofa bed in the lounge or you pay for under utilised space if ony two of you. We got stung by Inghams on this and despite verbal ( sadly not written ) confirmation we ended up on sofabeds for the first night ( not fun with a male friend who snores like Concorde taking off). It was the hotel that finally made everything right for us.
We are DIYing to Big White this season and have a 6 person condo with hottub, ensuite bathrooms for £400 each for 4 of us for 2 weeks. Flight to Kelowna via Vancouver cost us £630 each. I am not saying that all tour companies do this but all that we have tried do charge for under utilised rooms. Hope this helps. |
I can remember using one of these carpets before and the first time is really bizarre. Its is quite an alien feeling.
Suggest you try it out with friends first as we all ended up in a pile. Great fun ! |
Think I updated my profile wrongly then.
Not affiliated to any research company/resort etc. Just wanted some advise on the resort and its pros and cons. Seems I will have to ask elsewhere ( but thanks to those that gave advise ) |
Thanks for the sensible replies.
And no I am not from any resort. |
