Hi I am Michelle and I am an addict. Skied as a teenager and have never managed to persuaded hubby to go until last year (nearly 30 years later!) when I just booked to go to Andorra. We went Feb half term and then booked Pila for xmas this year. Looking to go again at Easter. Quote of the year from hubby.......................... "wish I had gone years ago" Duh really.

Coach transfers, especially when the driver thinks he is Jensen Button!!!! Have since bought travel sickness tablets.
Hot hot hot ski hire shops.. have now bought own boots but can't quite justify skis ..yet! The walk to the slopes, only 100m they said, hmmm Queue jumpers, don't mind the ski schools as they have limited times but the rest? And sorry to be ageist but it is often the older end of the scale here. From my recent experience and usually locals. The wind whistling down your neck on the chair lift because you didn't quite get the hat/ goggles and Buff exactly in line and you dare not try to adjust it in case you drop hat/ goggles/ gloves or poles.!! BUT BY FAR THE BIGGEST HATE HAS GOT TO BE THOSE....SQUAT TOILETS, fine for men but women with ski boots on well that is just an amazing feat of balance and skill. :) |

How last minute can a booking be? My husband and I have the first week of Easter booked off and are hoping to ski somewhere, will prob use Crystal or the likes, not brave enough yet to do it all separately. Dates are 31 March/1st April for 1 week. I have read a bit about going high. We went to Pila at Christmas and Arinsal last Feb and enjoyed both. We are both intermediates, happy to self cater or hotel.

Hoping to do last minute with myself and hubby, son in Austria with his school so thought we might nip off somewhere too. Where is likely to be a good option, both intermediates. Have been to Pila and Arinsal so far. Gonna do last minute if possible to save a few pounds.
