Hi Bald-eagleman,
You sound much better at this than me - do you want to take over?

I am trying to get those who want to come to take some responsibility for where and when we go so that we reach a democratic decision. Maybe I'm expecting too much?

Icy - it's OK if you can't commit at the moment - that's fine. I am just trying to help the OP with this. I think my method will work, but I won't know until afterwards

7 people have now completed the survey. I think if I get 3 more responses from people who might want to come, then there will be some point continuing with this.

It's actually quite interesting looking at what people have chosen.

Q1 - So far only one person wants to go in the school holidays.

Q2 - Resort - Chamonix still top, closely followed by Tignes, 3 Valleys, and Les Arcs. Bottom is Zell am See and La Thuile.

Q3 - Accommodation - hotel is top, followed by chalet, bottom is S/C

Q4 - Getting to resort - top is fly, then train, then self-drive.

Q5 - Holiday month - March is still a clear winner here, followed by Jan and Feb. Bottom is December and April.

Q6 - Everyone so far is coming on their own, only one person is bringing one other person.

Q7 - Cost of holiday for accommodation and transfers - currently a draw between £400-£600 and £600-£800. equally bottom are £200-£400 and £800-£1000.

Q8 - Standard of skier. 3 upper intermediates, 2 lower intermediates, 2 advanced.

Q9 - Hiring equipment - 3 hiring nothing, 4 hiring skis.

Q10 - New question of sharing - one person willing to share with other J2Skiers.

I think you've already put yourself up there to manage this now so its up to you to take it forward.

Best of luck.

I disagree

No harm in initially asking for opinions. Once you have an idea of what is popular you can then narrow things down.

I would have like Afghanistan as an option :)

Send Ally G a PM, shes the organiser for the 2013 J2ski Group Trip.com
I'm sure she'll waste countless hours researching the logistics of actually skiing in Afghanistan and let you know
