The ski school at the other Andorra ski resort domain "Vallnord" has just as good ski schools, Arinsal has great speaking instructers and great apres ski.

A luxery hotel here would be Princesa Parc, which you can book trough many ski operators, try directski.com.

Depends what you want the Sport Village is even nicer than the sport but more expensive or the Himalaia is ok.
Cheaper options are the Brussels or even the Roc which is just down the hill a few hundred meters very basic but nice.
Most of the Hotels in the Centre are fine.
If your not so worried about the night life then El Tarter may be more to your taste the Llop gris is very nice i lived there for three months http://www.llopgris.com/ lifts go from right outside the hotel and its the same ski school.
The resort is even pretier and its more Spanish than the very English Soldeu if you prefer that.
Feel free to drop me an email if you want to chat I have lived in both resorts and worked for the ski school.

Soldeu has opened a week early, happy days.
Huge area, well worth a visit if you are there to cruise. Fantastic resort for beginners and intermediates to build their confidence.
I went there a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it.
The black under the lift back to resort, called Avet, is a blast!
