If I remember correctly you are not from Norfolk Felthorpe.

Does that make you a broad by adoption or half a broad?
Really not sure of the correct form of address here.

I await an authorative response.

I did say "live in" not "from" Old Andy.

I have only been here 25 years, so I am not local yet but whenever I say I live in Norfolk people make assumptions, why is that bor?

Well being a Norfolkian by adoption as you are (although of not quite similar longevity) there is a certain "rural" character to many Norfolk folk.
Personally I love it.

I have just come back from a most enjoyable week in the Isle of Wight and drove through the New Forest where I grew up, past the old school and all those sorts of places. That is a beautiful part of the country - but oh so busy!!!!
Norfolk I find delightfully quiet in comparison.
The isolation of Norfolk and the fact that it takes us an hour to drive out of the county (got stuck in the traffic after the horrible accident on the A11 - 2.5 hours Mildenhall to Brandon !!)leads to a certain other wordlyness that I think is reflected in those living here.
Normal for Norfolk rules OK ??
