Unfortunately can't say nothing about 2010 but Jan 2009 was pretty good and snow conditions were enough to have the nice and confortable skiing.
I guess this season in Alpes is in general even better then last one (I've just returned from Mayrhofen).
So enjoy Madonna di C. - it's indeed excellent ski resort .

I haven't been this year either, but I am sure it is perfect. You can probably tell us by now.

I have been many times to Madonna, and it was always a great place to ski. Good slopes, a pretty town, ski lift from the town centre, safe snow, Italian food!

A funny clientele though, a mixture of Italians, Russians (see Alex above) and Poles. I wonder why so few Brits go to the Dolomites in general, and Madonna in particular? Not that I mind...

Whilst I haven't been to Cortina I have skied around other places in the Dolomites and I too wonder why so few Brits get down there. Great skiing. great food, great weather, sparse crowds, incredible scenery and from what I can gather much better value than France. The Germans definitely know about it......

I spent the day in Madonna late Jan and the snow was exceptional.
My two friends got back from Teaching in Tonnale last week something they have been doing for about 10 years and they said it was some of the best snow they have seen. (Tonnale is about half hour from madonna)

Not ski'd there but had a long weekend in Madonna a few years ago in the autumn.
Lovely place and by all accounts is a nice place to ski & certainly on my wish list.
