No stereotyping from you then Ross!

Twenty two runs today, Ross, so using your logic, I'm about sixteen years old!

22 in Neiderau, 22 snow dome length runs doesn't add up to a whole lot

I was just kidding anyways, jeeez you guys

Old age b******s, I reckon its fitness and weight I am 61 and fairly fit - still play 5 a side football for an hour every week. I skied for the first time 2 years ago so probably not thrashing it as much as Bignick, but I spend around 6 hours a day on the slopes and never get a twinge in the thighs. Apart from my footie I also go to the gym 2 or 3 days a week, concentrating on knees and thigh strength.
I gave up football for my team because I was picking up stupid injuries most weeks

yes that always makes me laugh when i talk to mates who dont ski but play footie and when you sugest skiing the first response is always about broken legs or Knee problems.

I have skied for 27 years with only a dislocated thumb and one minor knee twist that put me out for about a day.
One season of Sunday League football had me in A&E twice.

As everyone appears to be uber-fit has anyone experienced problems with fitting their calf into ski-boots? I've just got back from skiing and suffered for the first hour every time I put boots on as my calves didn't fit and were pinched when fastening the buckle(?) thingies. As a result my skiing style was properly off and also resulted in thigh burn.

Tried going back to the ski hire shop to see if other boots were better but a lack of language skills meant I couldn't explain the exact problem and the bloke just kept saying they need to be tight.

I do a lot of distance running and cycling - anyone had similar problems?
Bon. Allez!
