Chris, I heard your lifts might be opening this weekend or the ones in one of the other resorts near you, can you confirm this is true. Thanks.

Hi Snowcrazy, I've also been trying to find out as I am arriving in Murren on the 9th of December. I only found one website stating that lifts don't open until the 14th of December in Murren. If this is the case I better get myself a helicopter :/

Hopefully Chris will know more though :)

The Lauberhorn and Wixi chairlifts will run tomorrow and Sunday http://www.jungfrau.ch/en/tourism/travel-information/operating-information/winter-sports-installations/

Some lifts have been open over the last two weekends with the official start being Saturday 14th December. Not to put a downer on the situation, no new snow forecasted for the next few days with mild temps expected (2500m+)....

Positive spin is...I would rather be there than anywhere else !!

Snow is a bit tough and icy at the moment but the upside is that there is almost nobody else on the slopes and the weather is amazing.
