This will be are 3rd time to Pas de la casa but yet to do a full red run

We are looking for a few easier red runs to break us in, what are the Easiest - hardest Red runs Pas de la casa / soldeu.

And out of the 3 red runs leading into PAS which one is the easiest..We had a look at DirectaI/II on our first trip when we were snowploughers and it looked quite steep quite busy and lots of lumps of snow/ice

None are alarming - just go for any of them.

Do the runs early on when the snow is a bit softer (assuming not north facing, if so do a bit later), the runs are less busy in the morning and do them then. Avoid end of day as they will be chopped up and busy.

Commit yourself & do it

Directa1 is fine, big and wide, you will be fine.

Menera down into Grau Roig is wide too.

An easy red that you must do is Cami de Pessons where you can stop for lunch overlooking the frozen Lake Pessons. Gorgeous scenery.

LAKE PESSONS

Agree with Iceman on the time of the day, especially over the Soldeu side. There are some great reds, but in the afternoon and with the 'wrong' weather conditions some runs can get a bit lumpy. Our friends the boarders can accidentally form mini moguls which harden up in the shade and can be tricky if you are a bit tentative.

I was skiing in Grandvalira from 10 to 20 February. From the latest snowfalls the runs were very good and we had powder. Pas could be a little hard some times because the wind.
If the wind is to strong go to Grau Roig Piolets ski area.It is protected and there are pine trees. Then have a Schnapps at Pessons :P

We got back late tuesday and had a great time ...

We tried Directa at the very top at the end of day 1 which was a bit of a mistake.lots of moguls on the first half and not a good slope to try for your first ever Red.
The next day we skied to El tar tar and tried a few reds in between there and back and the bottom half of blacks at Mirador & Aliga .Both times we skied back to Pas we went Via Gavatxa/Port

thanks Again for the advice

Where to try next year??
