The Canyons in brief
The Canyons is Utah’s largest ski and snowboard resort with 16 lifts covering 8 mountains and 3,500 acres. The terrain is very diverse from the “all green” High Meadow lift servicing only beginners’ runs to the “all black” Ninety-Nine-Ninety lift servicing only advanced and expert runs. Most people like a nice long groomed run, and The Canyons has one of the longest - Harmony is a whopping 2.62 miles long winding its way through forests and under bridges. If tree skiing is your passion, you will find extensive forests of both pine and aspen. You can spend a week at The Canyons and not be able to ski all the runs.
The Canyons Alpine Skiing / Snowboard GPS map contains all the lifts, runs, on-mountain restaurants, and parking lots found at the resort. It also contains the location of the mountain patrol stations, ticket sales, and more restrooms than are found on the printed trail map.
Note: Because of the sheer size of The Canyons, radio GPS units such as the Rino will have a challenge working at long distances. For best results, use your Rino at the top of lifts or on high mountain ridges to locate others in your party.
Snowmaking :- The Canyons is able to augment natural snow through the use of 90 Snow Cannons.
Ski Lift Capacity :- The 13 Ski Lifts of The Canyons are able to uplift 25,700 skiers / snowboarders per hour.
