Created by Robert Redford. who bought the site from the Stewart family in 1969. The emphasis is on rustic, natural envioinment, building and attitude. For Redford and Native American fans try dining in the Tree room which contains memorabilia and art work from both - as well as serving award-winning regional cuisine using organic herbs and vegetables from Sundance farms.

Sundance

Located just 30 minutes north of Provo, Utah, Sundance is the locals best kept secret. Sundance has a unique atmosphere combining a wide variety of skiing, a penchant for the arts, and a respect for nature.

At Sundance you will find ski runs such as Center Aisle that are perfect for beginners while Grizzley Bowl and Redfinger Ridge will challenge the most advanced skiers. Art abounds everywhere from the ubiquitous stone statues you will discover in the landscaping to the Art Shack where you can see recycled glass being transformed into new bottles and glasses that are used in the on-site restaurants. In the Nature Center, you will learn how Robert Redford purchased the land for Sundance in order to keep the canyon he loves from being over developed.

The Sundance Alpine Skiing / Snowboard GPS map contains all the lifts, runs, restaurants, and parking lots found at the resort. It also contains the location of the mountain patrol stations, ticket sales, photo sites, and more restrooms than are found on the printed trail map.

Snowmaking :- Sundance is able to augment natural snow, with 6 Snow Cannons.

Ski Lift Capacity :- The 3 Ski Lifts of Sundance are able to uplift 5,167 skiers / snowboarders per hour.
