Auffach is a charming ski resort in the Wildschönau valley. It offers a mix of family-friendly slopes and challenging runs for all levels.

 Summary

Nestled in the Tyrolean Alps, Auffach boasts over 45 kilometers of varied pistes. The resort's elevation reaches up to 2,100 meters, ensuring excellent skiing conditions.

The ski area of Auffach is in the Austrian Alps at an altitude of 875m 2,871ft , with 109km 68 miles of marked runs.

Auffach is part of the Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau area with access to 114km 71 miles of downhill skiing, with 83 marked pistes, served by a total of 45 ski lifts. In addition to the skiing in Auffach itself ( 109km 68 miles of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Ski Juwel Alpbachtal Wildschönau ski resorts of Alpbach, Kramsach, Niederau, Oberau, Reith im Alpbachtal and Thierbach.

Skiing

Auffach is part of the Ski-Optimal Wildschönau area, featuring a range of slopes from beginner to expert. Notable pistes include the long runs of the Schatzberg and the challenging black slope on the Markbachjoch. Key lifts such as the Schatzbergbahn and the Markbachjochbahn provide easy access to the mountain's diverse terrain.

Auffach offers good sking, particularly, for Expert and Intermediate skiers.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Auffach is Innsbruck Airport, 60 minutes drive away.

Munich, Salzburg, Bolzano, Linz, Memmingen and St. Gallen-Altenrhein airports are all within three hours drive.

Innsbruck Airport is just one hours drive away, in good driving conditions, so you can be on the piste quickly.

To reach Auffach, the closest major airport is Innsbruck, located about 70 kilometers away. From Innsbruck, you can take a train or drive directly to the resort, enjoying scenic alpine views along the way.

When is Auffach open?

We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.

Usual opening is early December, and usual closing is Early April.

NOTE:- Ski area, lift and piste opening is subject to Current Snow Conditions.

Aprés Ski

Après-ski in Auffach is lively, with popular spots like the 'Kühtai' and 'Alpengasthof' serving drinks and food. The resort's quaint bars create a welcoming atmosphere for relaxation after a day on the slopes.
