Bayrischzell

There are two ski areas near Bayrischzell, The larger with three quarters of the terrain and a 580m vertical is Südelfeld, a favourite of Munich's skiers with its 20+ lifts - one of Germany’s biggest ski areas. The second choice is the Wendelstein, which is more challenging and with the bigger 932 vertical. There are only five runs here and 10km of trails all graded red or black.

In addition to the skiing in Bayrischzell itself (26km16 miles of pisted ski runs), the appropriate ski Lift Pass will allow you to ski or snowboard in the other Ski Paradies Sudelfeld ski resort of Oberaudorf.

The skiing is at relatively low altitude, so snow cover can be variable.

How to get there

 By Air

The nearest airport to Bayrischzell is Salzburg, 73 minutes drive away.

Innsbruck Airport, Munich, Memmingen, Linz, Bolzano and St. Gallen-Altenrhein airports are all within three hours drive.

When is Bayrischzell open?

We don't currently have confirmed season dates, but hope to soon.

Usual opening is late December (Tends to open last weekend of November or first weekend of December), and usual closing is Early April.

NOTE:- Ski area, lift and piste opening is subject to Current Snow Conditions.
