And that is my whole point , I would just like to know the speed I ski. I don't think I ski anywhere near to 50 mph,
but I would just like to know.
My Birthdays coming up and I've been collecting brownie points for the last few weeks if I ask the trouble and strife nicely I might just get my wish.

They did a speed test on Snowfix.tv last season, and sent an AVERAGE skier down an AVERAGE run in Chamonix, skiing reasonably quickly but carving turns. The AVERAGE speed was just over 50 kmh, which is just over 30 mph. It doesnt sound fast, but I bet a lot of people think they are skiing a lot faster than that. Its fast enough to do some damage though.

I dread to think what speed the woman who hit me and broke my collarbone was travelling at, suffice to say my collarbone was broken before I hit the ground. By the time I touched down I was generally out of it anyway.

That sounds a lot like the experience I had a couple of years back when a complete numpty took me out at speed.
I still don't know how I got up from it, let alone with nothing more than a bruise or two.
