Not correct, H&S legislation for the UK baggage handlers, specifies that a single bag should be 23kg or under. Ryanair will levy an excess baggage charge at 16 kilos.

It's all about maximising revenue, staff receive a bonus apparently :D

I'm guessing neither of us has a copy of the Ryanair contract with their baggage handlers though )

I doubt staff receive receive a bonus but I'd imagine the handling agents receive a per transaction charge. In fact I doubt the check-in staff are Ryanair employees either.

What will actually be the case is they limit the baggage weight to reduce payload in the first instance. Extra bags or extra weight count as separate or extended transaction which their agent charge them for and they pass on.

The public chose this way of doing of business in pursuit of lower prices, I know we can all do maths and see it adds up but the Ryanair business model (like so many others) correctly assumes a lower standard of numeracy. All of which means it's not Ryanairs fault but really it's down to successive governments fannying about with education to the point where a sizeable part of the population can't count anymore )

Where to buy a Giro G10 Helmet

I think any search here would turn up the consistent advice that buying a helmet over the internet without trying it on probably isn't a good idea.

The list of early-opening resorts has grown longer, so if you're able to catch a few days before Xmas then conditions should make it worth your while - but do check your chosen resort before you travel, as quite a few of the resorts are only open at the weekends right now.

How nice... more snow! 8) 8) 8)

although the snow's good the press reports they've decided to open more or less on the spur of the moment aren't entirely true, it's the "Feast of the Immaculate Conception" on Monday so it's a public holiday in many catholic countries or states so it's good business this weekend.

I don't think anyone can grumble though if a round trip is costing less than 100 quid whoever it's with.
