Children wearing safety helmets

Adults not wearing helmets - evolution at work
Children not wearing helmets - child endangerment

If trying to convince a child to wear a helmet, one only has to look at all the top snowboarders for an example. Also it is a fact that you learn more slowly if you are frightened to fall. Does the child want to be a slow learner ?

But as mentioned above, the single best way to get kids to wear helmets is for parents to wear them. Failing that, a day in the creche with all the babies should make the sacrifice to cool worth while.

I really do not think there will be a problem she has skied with a helmet since the age of three and knows nothing different, If she complains she does not ski, easy.

Andorra is the worst lift queue experience of my life... the b*stards don't appreciate an angry Scotsman after they have shoved you out the way.

Agree totally, the locals were queue jumping, got quite heated at one point.
Advise please!

I'm mostly self taught and I do ok (can ski Blacks but not with much style) but I would like to improve.

My problem is I have heard too many times (ok probably only two or three) of people having lessons and saying that they didn't really learn anything. The comments are usually "lean forward and bend your knees and thats it.

I firmly believe that there is some excellent instruction out there, I can tell that by just reading this forum (Trencher and Pavelski) and looking on youtube (Mairklaus and Warren Smith), but I don't want to pay someone to tell me to lean forward.

I am going with family and friends to Montchavin Les Coches, part of the La Plagne area in February and would like some good lessons.

Any ideas?

Mike
