First ski holiday advice!

As an alternative to buying a helmet, you could just get a Buff (a thin cloth tube thingy which you wear over your head). These are very lightweight and easy to shove in a pocket but will keep the ears warm, the hair out of your eyes and the other peoples sweat off your head if you hire a helmet. It can also be worn at home after, just in case you decide skiing is not for you (unlike a ski helmet).
Who's all booked up??

J2Ski Holiday 2014

Having tried to sit in the garden yesterday to catch a little sun and realising how cold it was when the sun went behind a cloud, it occurs to me that the Summer is nearly over :(

Of course this just means that the Winter is not far off and our trip to Folgarida :D

For those of you still considering joining us; we are already discussing routes to get there, new skis, pizza etc. on our Facebook page.

All you have to do is join us......
Ally is looking for a dodgy Italian next time :-)

Thats a lot for somewhere that is not near the lifts and you have to get a shuttle bus to the town

What are you talking about Icy?

That is an all in price for half board in a decent hotel and including lift passes, ski hire and travel. The shuttle bus is dedicated to the hotel, so no hanging about and if you feel like walking you can.

I think it's a very good price for this quality of holiday. Organising a big group is not easy and I think Ally deserves a pat on the back for taking it on.

I didn't think you wanted to come anyway?
Why I love La Plagne

I didn't actually mind Val Thoren but I disliked La Plagne. Can't really tell you why. I felt that way about the skiing too.

Same for Les Arcs, didn't much like it but loved Alpe D'Huez and Les Deux Alpes??

Didn't go a bundle much on Tignes either (but the company was good) :D

Think I am as mad as you Ally!
