I am not sure Andy, it is certainly in the right place. They seem to piste some runs some days and not others, it was a bit hit and miss if I remember rightly, as to whether you got a mogul field or not! I suppose that is because the place is so big they cannot do everything every day? This was the view from the top of the moving carpet that takes you back into the centre, I have zoomed in. The bowl in front of the main resort is just so huge and most runs are very wide, it only gets a bit busy at the bottom at the end of the day when everyone is coming home, which is fair enough! The bar (bottom left) seemed to be the place to be for a quick stop off on the way back. |

I hired until I found a pair I really liked and then went and bought some the same (in the sale of course, J2Skiers are thrifty I have noted).
The thing that worried me most was that being brand new, they would get stolen first time out. Now that they are several years old, I am more relaxed about it and hope they will not be of interest to anyone else because I am rather attached to them. I always browse the new ones because that is half the fun, looking at what is the latest fad but I don't feel the urge to invest £500! |

Never did that bit on ski's because we were staying in the central part (up the moving carpet) but we did venture up there one evening for a beer without ski boots on and it nearly killed me! I would go back though as I really liked the resort but I believe all the catered chalets are in that top bit? So we may have to investigate Balcons.

It is my second trip to ADH and my OH's 3rd or 4th? It was only my second week on skis when I last went, so I am looking forward to conquering that Blue that gave me so much trouble last time LOL

I really liked VT. The views were stunning and there was so much to ski.

I liked Val Thorens but walking up that hill is a killer at that altitude.

For once we are all planned well in advance.
ADH for Jan and Folgarida with the "Group" in Feb. My OH has even bought new skis in anticipation. |
