Great stuff mate, glad your enjoying yourself, I'm still green with envy 8)
Being a bit of a saddo I collect ski memorabilia, and some of which my wife lets me put on the walls at home, before I show you my photos I would be interested if anybody out there is sad enough to do the same, where's my camera ???

Yes it hurts but the main reason for going is to ski right? So who cares if we can't have as many Vin Chauds and chips as we like just so long as the snow is good.

Thats the idea :D

Enjoy.

I was hoping that we would be able to hire the skis on Saturday but I have a feeling that by the time we get there, the shop will be shut ( what time do the ski hire shops shut?) and any idea how long it will take to get to Niederau from Amsterdam..... 10 hours?

Try mappy, it works for me

I have skied the past 4 years in Austria and only got back from Mayrhofen on sunday which is not the cheapest in Austria I have been to. The difference, I was normally paying E 3.20- E 3.80 for a half litre either in the town or on the mountain.
Not to rub it in to much but I had a huge plate full of Vienasnitzel and chips and half litre of lager for E 9.30 on the most expensive mountain bar/restaurant we used. Even with pound being poor against the Euro it still really only reflected London pub prices. Allez Le Austria!!

Drink halfs it would have only been 2.5E.
I can't give any info on Bansko as I've not been there, but my advice would be book lessons and continue to improve, enjoy your skiing
