I am off to snowboard in Chile in early July. A little worried about the snow, looking for it to start very soon, although they say it all arrives in 6 or 7 big dumps in Portillo, I am doing a 12 day trip from Germany, 24 hours travel either direction, 8 days riding and 2 nights in Santiago. To be honest would not do that journey for less time, especially if I had not picked up business class tickets for 50 quid with my air miles ;)
I am very excited and sat in front of two hours of Holby City last night petting my board on the sofa!!! It's getting ridiculous ;) |

I'll get the train up to Amsterdam, stay a night, get the ferry over to the Toon, stay a couple of nights and get the ferry back to Amsterdam and train home. Make a proper weekend of it )

I'm heading for Portillo in Chile in July, one big consideration was proximity to international airports. It is about 90 miles north of Santiago, so not too deadly after an 18 hour flight
