I liked the story about the old lady who refused to let them build a new ski lift because she doesn't like the noise!!!!

Yes great story truth is the farmer who owns the field in in dispute over money.

There used to be a great ski run that started above zakopane in a lovely little village and end up near the market but that too got shut because the land owners wanted something like a million pounds in rent

Getting to Zakopane is a pain too and you really need to hire a car - watch out for Sixt - not only to get their but to get around

Not very cheap any more

+ side, its so beautiful and the food and restaurants are great

I must go soon,Not

I think I will have to bite the bullet and go to my GP

Bite the bullet, two broken legs might just stop me skiing

karen72 wrote:Hi guys

As we will be arriving late Saturday night and leaving the following Saturday morning, we will only be able to see the instructor show on the Sunday that we get there.

Can anyone tell me where it is at and what time it starts and does it cost?

Karen

Do they only have one then ?????

Looking for some advice on ski rental lift pass etc. I’m off to Livigno Saturday but haven’t booked my ski pack. We’re going with Budget travel and the ski pack was an extra €300. That sounded a lot. They told me that covers ski’s, boots, lift pass, ski school. If I wanted to get my own ski pack how would that work out. Also, when you get your ski’s and boots do you leave them back to the shop at the end of the days or bring them home?

You keep your skis for the week, depending where you stay there can be a lot of bussing and walking around the resort so I would suggest a locker near the lifts would be good. If you let me know what part of Livigno your staying I might be able to recommend somewhere for ski hire.
I can recommend the Bar St. Agata in Saroch, nice place and nice owners give them a try, and the best pizza in the world is served up at the Bella Vista restaurant.
