I can recommend, from experience, Mayrhofen and St Anton in Austria. Both have excellent ski areas, and great nightlife off the slopes, although St Anton is generally a lot more expensive.
You ought to seriously look at Ischgl and Solden too. If you have been to Sauze and liked it, they should be on your radar.

Yes Tony is right, I have never found much night life in France, but then again I go to ski and entertainment for us is a pleasant restaurant washed down with a nice glass of red :D

That must give you hellish indigestion

 Sitting down (at the edge) to have a smoke has several benefits:

1. It allows skiers to catch up
2. I can spend 5 minutes taking in the scenary
3. I can take some nice action shots of others
4. I can rest my upper legs to allow another high speed straight line assault on the hill )

Anyhoo, my flickr account has reached capacity, so I have to figure out another way of getting some photos up on here. Yesterday was incredible, this is truely the most beautiful place I have been.

Val d'Isere

The OP said they wanted somewhere that's not family orientated, most of the bars and nightclubs in Val d'Isere are like somewhere you leave the kids (up to and beyond 30) so you can have a nice meal out in peace, whilst they make themselves sick with booze! Hence meaning you can ski in peace the following morning also.

It's like an adolesent creche!!

Holiday time is upon us

Trick to Turkey is to go on holiday before you go and get a serious tan, then they don't bother harrassing you as much in resort as they figure you are a local or have been there nearly two weeks )

Thats not entirely accurate Tony, I do lean a little to get round corners, only a little mind; no need to go nuts.
