Advice about Banff, Lake Louise and Canmore

Have you been to Banff a whole lot? -35 there feels like a Scottish -10!!! It is a "dry" cold so it does not effect me a whole bunch. I think skiing day in day out for 3 months in the Rockies builds up your tolerance to the cold on your face.. after the first couple weeks I left my face unprotected (apart from suncream).

In January it has been -51.2... in all fairness not since the 50's but -41 was by no mean a record. -30 is easily skiable in as long as it is not windy, just not great to be standing around in your boots and snow really starts to slow down. Only 2 days I have been in Banff when the lifts have not turned due to it being too cold (below -40, reported -50 at the top of Lake Louise).
