Smashing....Scotland is enjoying a vintage season, quite clearly, and good luck to all those who have stuck through it during the lean times!

(But I had more fun - I watched the mighty Glos smash Sale 47-3 in the Guinness Premiership!!!!!!)
And for a British skier to be in the top ten "from time to time" is an extraordinary achievement, given lack of funding, team infrastructure and support resources, and compares very favourably with results of competitors from more favoured nations.

It is likely the struggles of Chemmy and other British racers will become even more difficult as the national ski federation falls to bits.

I'm interested to learn what you think her potential is; to be an Olympic or World Cup winner perhaps? Or to be a world class skier?

I would humbly suggest the latter and also propose that she has certainly reached that particular 'potential', given her consistent results over the last four or five seasons.
Yes, if you look closely she wears a hearing aid in one ear.

She is a charming ambassador for the sport, comely - and as tough and dedicated as they come.

GS has been her best event over the last few seasons so here's hoping for a top 10.
I stayed up as well - excellent!

I think, Jon, the women's combined was run yesterday evening UK time, Chemmy finishing 11th.

Do you mean GS or Super G?

But what about the Colombian's perspective?

Yes, collapsed at work on Monday morning in agony. Having tests and observations etc but it looks like stones - very, very, very painful!

I only added something to this thread as

a. I'm stuck in hospital and bored out my brains :(

b. I wanted to spell programme correctly unlike some earlier posters on this thread!

I hope the Kjus jackets are more than showerproof given the amount of drizzle that's fallen on Whistler this week. Someone I know went there a couple of seasons ago in February and it rained the entire time they were there!

Story in today's Independent confirming that Kjus had supplied the BBC with approximately £10,000 worth of kit for the Olympics programmes' presenters. (I think it looks crap, actually, and grossly over-priced!)
